THANK YOU!  Today’s blog is to thank everyone who attended our awarded ceremony and to give Congratulations to the recipients of our awards!

We would like to thank Majer Hockey for organizing all the small details on our personalized jerseys. Majer Hockey has always been closely connected to the PowerSkating Academy.

We would also like to thank the Penalty Box Bar & Grill at Scotiabank Pond. They let us take over their restaurant and organized snacks for us during our ceremony. We understand that our hockey players, and athletes in general, are always hungry!

A big thank you to Darren Price, from Newport Sports Management, for such an informative session. We hope everyone learned something important that they can take away from the talk. Our favourite aspect of the speech was the emphasis on manners and character and the role that plays in moving up to the higher levels.

Thank you to all those who came to listen and help us congratulate our skaters.

Now, CONGRATULATIONS are in order.

Congratulations to all our skaters who earned this week. Their dedication to improving their skating ability and believing in our methodology shows their maturity and commitment. Our skaters understand that lessons aren’t always fun, but they are always important to their betterment.

Congratulations to Liam Anderson.

Liam is a member of the Pickering Panthers of the OJHL, who is a powerful skater with strong strides. He diligently worked on hip mobility, and when matched with his speed, allows him to easily make smart decisions with the puck.

Good luck in Pickering this year!

Congratulations to Eric Bonsteel.

Eric was drafted by the Ottawa 67’s in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection Draft. He spent a lot of time focusing on improving his speed and agility this summer, but a more noticeable aspect of Eric is his physical awareness. Having a good understanding of his body allows him to know what corrections he must make before they are given to him.

Good luck in Ottawa this year!

Congratulations to Andre Anania.

Andre was drafted by the Sudbury Wolves in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection Draft. He made some great changes by more consistent knee angle, lowering his center of gravity. As a tall defenseman with a low center of gravity, he has great lateral movement in the defensive zone.

Good luck in Sudbury this year!

Congratulations to Jacob Romano.

Jacob is a member of the French River Rapids of the NOJHL. He has a powerful stride and great hip control allowing him to be fast without sacrificing any of his lateral agility.

Good luck in French River.

Congratulations Fedor Beloborodov.

Fedor is a currently working as a member of our coaching staff. He uses his eye for detail and openness to learn as a method to help himself improve. He is committed to improving daily and is always willing to gather as much information he can from anyone willing to let him learn. Fedor is a player who uses his skating ability to his advantage during a game. One of his best aspects, is his mental determination to get better.

Goodluck in your Season.

Congratulations Braeden Kressler.

Braeden was drafted by the Flint Firebirds in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection Draft. Braeden used his great speed and our skating techniques to combine the best of both worlds. He was committed to improving his game through his edge work, and his determination allowed him to make a big increase in his ability.

Goodluck in Flint this season!
